UTSA Giving Day is an online event that celebrates the university by encouraging all members of the UTSA community to support areas of campus. As a signature crowdfunding event, UTSA’s annual giving day is an inclusive opportunity for donors at all levels to help “build the nest.” As a part of Parallel’s longstanding partnership with UTSA’s Donor Relations team, we create a dynamic, multi-channel giving day campaign that is updated each year but always aligns with the larger “Birds Up” UTSA brand. For the past three years, Parallel has created website graphics, social media ads, email, and direct mail postcards for the campaign. This year, we utilized a retro-gaming look and feel to emphasize the friendly competitive aspect of Giving Day. We also developed social media templates and emails that were used by Giving Day Ambassadors (volunteer fundraisers) who could share them with friends, family, and classmates to encourage giving. These social media elements were easily personalized and shareable to ensure the success of the Ambassadors peer-to-peer donor asks.
